Festival of Chickpeas and Saffron

he week following 15 August is dedicated to the 'Sagra dei Ceci e dello Zafferano', now in its 46th edition.
This event celebrates Navelli's culinary culture and tradition with saffron dishes, risottos, supplì and chickpeas in various preparations, as well as typical desserts. The programme also includes musical evenings, a craft market and numerous moments of conviviality.
Fauna and flora enthusiasts can explore trails immersed in biodiversity, encountering chamois, golden eagles and rare plants.

mid-June is the 'Notte Romantica', organised with the Associazione Borghi Più Belli d'Italia. The event invites visitors to discover the historic centre by moonlight, with tastings of typical products and popular music enriching the atmosphere.

n October, during the saffron harvesting period, the Consorzio di Tutela dello Zafferano DOP and the Silvio Salvatore Sarra Foundation organise days dedicated to discovering the spice. These experiences include activities related to the cultivation, processing and uses of saffron, to delve into every aspect of this local excellence.
